How Much RAM Does a Better MC Skyblock (BMCS) Server Need?
Better MC Skyblock (BMCS) runs the full curated Better MC modlist — exploration, quality-of-life, and biome expansion — on a void-island skyblock start on Forge 1.20.1, so its RAM needs track the same weight as the ground-start Better MC editions even though the terrain is different. See the Better MC Skyblock (BMCS) pack page for the full modlist and server details. Finnish players: Minecraft-palvelin hosting is our native-language page. German players: Minecraft-Server mieten covers the same hosting auf Deutsch. Svenska spelare: Hyra Minecraft-server täcker samma hosting på svenska.
4 GB
Bare minimum for solo or a duo exploring the starter island. The full Better MC modlist leaves little headroom, so expect stutter once exploration and biome-expansion systems ramp up.
6 GB
The recommended starting point for Better MC Skyblock on Forge 1.20.1 — matches the pack's own RAM floor and gives the full modlist room to run cleanly from the first boot.
8 GB
Safer for a mid-size active group pushing resource chains and expanding further out from the starter island.
12 GB
Needed for 10+ players or a long-running world with multiple islands and deep progression built up over time.
