How Much RAM Does a Better Realism MC Server Need?
Better Realism MC is a Vanilla+ survival pack on Fabric 1.21.1 that tightens hunger, adds temperature and seasons via Serene Seasons, and layers in better lighting and sky rendering — see the Better Realism MC pack page for the full feature list. Here's how much RAM it actually needs across different group sizes. Finnish players: Minecraft-palvelin hosting is our native-language page. German players: Minecraft-Server mieten covers the same hosting auf Deutsch. Svenska spelare: Hyra Minecraft-server täcker samma hosting på svenska.
3 GB
Bare minimum for solo or a tiny 1-2 player world. Expect tighter margins once Serene Seasons and the lighting/sky overhaul are both active.
5 GB
The best starting point for most Better Realism MC servers — this is the pack's own recommended RAM floor for its Fabric mod stack.
8 GB
Safer for a mid-size active group exploring and triggering seasonal changes across more loaded chunks at once.
12 GB
Recommended for 10+ players or a long-running world, where season cycles, temperature tracking, and world size all add up over time.
