How Much RAM Does a Modded OneBlock Server Need?
Modded OneBlock pairs a custom datapack and world with a full Forge 1.20.1 mod list, so it needs more RAM than a plain datapack-only OneBlock map. Check the Modded OneBlock pack page for the full mod list, then use the tiers below to pick a starting plan. Finnish players: Minecraft-palvelin hosting is our native-language page. German players: Minecraft-Server mieten covers the same hosting auf Deutsch. Svenska spelare: Hyra Minecraft-server täcker samma hosting på svenska.
6 GB
Bare minimum. Workable for solo play or a tiny two-player group, but it's a tight fit once Forge, the custom datapack, and the mod list are all loaded at once — expect little headroom for anything else running on the box.
8 GB
The best starting point for most Modded OneBlock servers. This matches the pack's own recommended RAM floor and gives the custom datapack and mod list enough room to run comfortably for a small group.
10 GB
Safer for a mid-size active group. If you've got several players progressing through block tiers at the same time, the extra headroom keeps things stable as more chunks and entities load in.
12 GB
For 10+ players or a world you plan to keep running long-term. OneBlock progression piles up a lot of generated structures and stored blocks over time, and a bigger, older world benefits from the extra ceiling.
