How Much RAM Does a Something Is Wrong Server Need?

Something Is Wrong (see the Something Is Wrong pack page) is a pure horror pack on Forge 1.19.2 that strips out tech and magic to focus on dread and resource scarcity, so its RAM needs are lighter than most modded packs but still worth sizing correctly before you invite players. Finnish players: Minecraft-palvelin hosting is our native-language page. German players: Minecraft-Server mieten covers the same hosting auf Deutsch. Svenska spelare: Hyra Minecraft-server täcker samma hosting på svenska.

2 GB

Bare minimum for solo play or testing the pack alone. You can boot the pack with no tech or magic mods weighing it down, but there's no headroom for dread-mechanic spikes or a second player joining.

4 GB

The best starting point for most Something Is Wrong servers — this matches the pack's own recommended RAM floor and gives the horror-event and AI-behavior systems room to run without choking on a small group.

6 GB

Safer for a mid-size active group exploring further from spawn, where more chunks, more mobs, and more simultaneous dread triggers are loaded at once.

8 GB

Recommended for 10+ players or a long-running world, where accumulated scarcity-driven base building and a wider explored map add up over time.
