How to Host a Better Adventures+ Server

Start with at least 8 GB of RAM as your floor. Better Adventures+ lists 6 GB in its own catalog metadata, but live-tested boot and world-gen behavior across its roughly 100 Fabric mods shows 8 GB is the real minimum, especially once exploration starts triggering chunk generation across the pack's hundreds of added structures and biomes.

Import the modpack through a proper modpack installer rather than copying mods out of a client instance. Better Adventures+ bundles its Fabric mod list, configs, and resource packs as a set — a clean server-side import avoids missing dependencies or mismatched versions that a manual client export would silently drop.

Watch the server logs through the full first boot. Because this pack is an exploration specialist — hundreds of new structures, biomes, dungeons, and boss encounters stacked on vanilla Fabric 1.20.1 — the first startup needs to finish registering all of that content cleanly before you consider the server ready, not just reach a 'Done' line.

Only invite players once that first boot has completed without errors and the world has generated a stable starting area. Better Adventures+ has no heavy tech or magic systems to slow things down, but its structure and biome additions mean a broken first boot can leave early exploration areas half-generated.

Take a backup before importing an existing world, updating the Fabric loader, or changing configs. Since the whole appeal of this pack is discovering its hundreds of custom structures and dungeons, a bad update that corrupts the world means losing exploration progress players can't easily redo.
