How to Host an Endless Horror Server (Forge 1.19.2)

Endless Horror bundles together nearly every horror mod available for Forge 1.19.2 — rather than building around one creature or one aesthetic, it stacks shaders and content mods from across the entire horror genre into a single, unpredictable server. That breadth makes it heavier and more fragile to set up than packs like The Man From the Fog or Whispers From Below, which each run a single stalker or creature system. Get the RAM and the import flow right before you invite anyone.

1

Start the server plan at 8 GB RAM minimum — that's Endless Horror's own recommended floor, not a guess. With nearly every horror mod for Forge 1.19.2 loaded at once plus shaders, going lower risks slow chunk loading and mod conflicts right when a horror event triggers.

2

Import the modpack from its official file rather than trying to rebuild it from a friend's client export. Endless Horror's mod list is large enough that a manual rebuild will almost always miss a dependency or load a mismatched version, which shows up as a crash later rather than immediately.

3

Watch the server log through the entire first boot. With this many horror mods active simultaneously, check specifically for mod-load errors and shader-pipeline warnings before assuming the world is stable — a pack this size needs a clean first boot more than most.

4

Only invite players once that first boot finishes cleanly and the world loads without errors. Endless Horror throws multiple horror systems at players at the same time, so a shaky first session is the fastest way to lose trust before anyone's even been scared.

5

Back up before any world import, Forge version change, or config edit. With this many content mods interacting at once, a bad update can corrupt a save faster than on a single-mechanic horror pack — and you'd be re-doing every hour of progress players put into surviving it.

Use a cleaner Endless Horror path

CoalHost is built around modpack hosting, which makes Endless Horror much less annoying to launch correctly.
