    No fee, no contract — just modpack name, project URL, and a short pitch. Submitted applications are reviewed within one week.

    We verify you're the author

    We DM your CurseForge or Modrinth account or check the author field on the project. Only the actual author gets approved.

    Get your unique affiliate URL

    Once approved you receive a clean URL of the form coalhost.com/r/your-slug. Share it on your modpack page, in Discord, or in YouTube descriptions.

    We pre-tune your pack

    Our reliability team boots your pack on a development server, profiles real load, and seeds the result into our recipe DB so paying customers get stable TPS from boot.

    Monthly payouts

    Initially manual (PayPal or bank transfer). Stripe Connect goes live in Q4 and the dashboard becomes self-serve.

How do you verify I'm the author?+
We DM your verified CurseForge or Modrinth account, or check the author field on the project. We only approve the person who actually controls the pack.
What if I have multiple modpacks?+
One affiliate slug, all of your packs covered. You don't need to apply once per pack — list your main one on the form and mention the others in the pitch.
What's the minimum threshold for payout?+
€25 per month. Anything below that rolls forward to the next month so a small but steady stream still pays out.
When will Stripe Connect be live?+
For the first six months, payouts are manual (PayPal or bank transfer). Stripe Connect is scheduled for Q4 — at that point the dashboard goes self-serve.
Do I have to be exclusive to CoalHost?+
No. Plug your pack on any host you want. The 20% share applies to signups that come specifically from your affiliate URL.
What happens if my pack is unstable on CoalHost?+
That's the point of the recipe-DB pre-tuning lane. We boot your pack on a development server, profile the heavy ticks, and pre-apply the fixes (heap, sim distance, problem-mod settings) before any customer touches it.
