Backups & restore
Automatic backups are enabled on every plan. Restore any backup with one click.
How auto-backup works
- Every server defaults to backups every 6 hours.
- Backups capture the world folder + server.properties.
- Stored on the same server. For offsite backup, manually download a backup file via Backups → Download.
- Old backups are pruned automatically — recent ones are kept.
Change the schedule
- Go to Settings on your server.
- Set Backup Interval (in minutes — minimum 30, e.g. 360 for every 6 hours).
- Save. Next backup uses the new schedule.
Manual backup
- Open the server's Backups tab.
- Click Create Backup.
- The backup appears in the list when ready (a few seconds for small worlds, longer for large modpacks).
Restore a backup
- Stop the server first (Restore won't run on a running server).
- Go to Backups.
- Click Restore next to the backup you want.
- Confirm. The world is replaced with the backup version.
- Start the server again.
Warning: Restoring overwrites the current world. If the current state has progress you want to keep, create a manual backup before restoring.
Disable auto-backup
Not recommended, but possible. Toggle Backup Enabled off in Settings. Manual backups still work.
