Backups & restore

Automatic backups are enabled on every plan. Restore any backup with one click.

How auto-backup works

  • Every server defaults to backups every 6 hours.
  • Backups capture the world folder + server.properties.
  • Stored on the same server. For offsite backup, manually download a backup file via Backups → Download.
  • Old backups are pruned automatically — recent ones are kept.

Change the schedule

  1. Go to Settings on your server.
  2. Set Backup Interval (in minutes — minimum 30, e.g. 360 for every 6 hours).
  3. Save. Next backup uses the new schedule.

Manual backup

  1. Open the server's Backups tab.
  2. Click Create Backup.
  3. The backup appears in the list when ready (a few seconds for small worlds, longer for large modpacks).

Restore a backup

  1. Stop the server first (Restore won't run on a running server).
  2. Go to Backups.
  3. Click Restore next to the backup you want.
  4. Confirm. The world is replaced with the backup version.
  5. Start the server again.

Warning: Restoring overwrites the current world. If the current state has progress you want to keep, create a manual backup before restoring.

Disable auto-backup

Not recommended, but possible. Toggle Backup Enabled off in Settings. Manual backups still work.
