How much RAM does a Terraria server need?
Vanilla Terraria runs comfortably on 2–4 GB for up to 8 players. TShock with plugins benefits from 6–8 GB. Modded Terraria via tModLoader (Calamity, Thorium) wants 8–12 GB depending on the mod combo.
Do you support TShock?
Yes. Pick TShock when creating your server and it deploys with the latest stable build. The plugin browser supports common TShock plugins, and you can drop custom .dll plugins via the file manager.
Can I host modded Terraria (tModLoader)?
Yes. Select tModLoader as the server type and upload your modpack via the file manager. We support all current tModLoader versions for 1.4.4.
How many players can join a Terraria server?
Vanilla Terraria caps at 16 players. CoalHost lets you set the slot count anywhere from 2 to 16 in the panel.
Can I import an existing world?
Yes — upload your .wld file via the file manager, then point the server at it from settings. Backups are automatic so you can revert if something goes wrong.
