Cobblemon is the rare heavy-appeal pack that is actually light: the official Fabric 1.21.1 pack is the smallest RAM recommendation in our whole catalog (4 GB), and it is the pack our automated boot tests pass most consistently — cold boots measured around two and a half minutes. That lightness is exactly why cheap hosts get away with running it badly: it works until your kids' world has a hundred chunkloading Pokémon bases in it, and then it doesn't. We start you at the size the pack actually needs, keep one-click add-on installs and snapshot backups within reach, and scale you live when your world grows past the starter plan.

Built for admins

The boring parts run themselves.

  • The pack our boot tests pass most

Four passing boot runs in our sweep rig, cold boots measured around 2.5 minutes — when Cobblemon updates, we know it boots before you bet your world on it.

  • Light where it counts

The official pack needs just 4 GB by our catalog's measure — smaller plans, smaller bills. Add-on-heavy worlds scale to 6–8 GB when they need it.

  • One-click install from CurseForge

The official Fabric pack installs straight from the source (project 821748) with the file ID auto-resolving to the latest build.

  • Fabric done right

Cobblemon runs on Fabric 1.21.1 — our install path sets up the loader, JVM flags and properties correctly the first time, no client-file juggling.

  • Backups for the world your kids built

Cobblemon worlds are often a family's first server. Snapshot before pack changes or config edits, roll back in one click.

  • Scale when the Pokébases multiply

Chunkloading farms and busy multiplayer worlds grow quietly. Bump RAM live from the panel when your world proves it needs more.

Questions

Cobblemon hosting FAQ.

Things people ask before signing up.

How much RAM does a Cobblemon server need?
The official pack is light: 4 GB is our catalog's recommendation for a small world, and 6 GB gives a small private group comfortable headroom. Add-on-heavy multiplayer worlds with lots of chunkloading want 8 GB.
Does Cobblemon use Fabric or Forge?
The official Cobblemon pack runs on Fabric (1.21.1 in the current catalog build). Our installer sets up the Fabric loader and JVM flags correctly the first time.
Can I move an existing Cobblemon world to CoalHost?
Yes. Upload the save through the browser file manager and take a snapshot backup before first launch — your caught Pokémon, bases and claim data come with you.
Can I add add-ons like extra legendary spawns or structures?
Yes — upload them via the file manager and restart. Take a snapshot backup first: add-ons are the most common cause of a Cobblemon world misbehaving after a mod change.
Why do Cobblemon servers lag on cheap hosts?
The pack boots light, so hosts size it for boot, not for play. Chunkloading Pokémon farms and multiplayer exploration are where RAM and CPU actually get eaten — plan for the world you'll have in a month, not day one.
